3. Healthcare Accessibility: We aspire to enhance our medical aid initiatives by collaborating with healthcare providers to offer regular health check-ups, vaccinations, and access to essential medicines for underprivileged families.

4. Women Empowerment Projects: We will implement programs specifically designed to empower women, especially widows and divorced women, by providing them with skills training and resources to help them achieve financial independence.

5. Strengthening Community Engagement: We aim to establish a more extensive network of district coordinators to facilitate community engagement and ensure that our support reaches those most in need.

6. Research and Development: We will conduct research to identify emerging needs within the community, allowing us to adapt our programs and services to better address the challenges faced by families in Kashmir.

How do we work?

The journey of Sahuliyat Kashmir began in 2017, fueled by a deep-rooted commitment to serve the community and uplift those in need. Our founder, Mr. Salman Qadri, witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by underprivileged families in the Kashmir Valley, particularly in the aftermath of ongoing conflicts and economic hardships. The sight of children unable to attend school due to financial constraints and families going to bed hungry ignited a passion for change within him.

Driven by compassion and a vision for a better future, Mr. Qadri gathered a group of like-minded individuals who shared his dream of creating a charitable organization dedicated to humanitarian service. Together, they established Sahuliyat Kashmir Voluntary Trust (SKVT) with the mission to serve humanity without discrimination, focusing on education, healthcare, livelihood support, and child development.

From the outset, the organization faced numerous challenges. However, the unwavering support from the community, local businesses, and philanthropists played a vital role in overcoming these obstacles. With a clear vision and a dedicated team, SKVT embarked on various initiatives aimed at addressing the pressing needs of the community.

One of the first projects undertaken by SKVT was the distribution of school bags and educational materials to underprivileged children. This initiative not only helped children attend school but also instilled a sense of hope and motivation in them. As word spread about the trust’s efforts, more families began to reach out for assistance.

In the following years, SKVT expanded its reach and scope, launching programs such as monthly food kits for needy families, medical aid for non-pensioners, and hygiene kits for newborns. Each initiative was carefully designed to provide immediate relief and create a sustainable impact in the lives of beneficiaries.

The organization also emphasized the importance of community engagement. SKVT established a network of district coordinators across the valley to ensure that every case was verified and that aid reached those who truly needed it. This commitment to transparency and accountability further strengthened the trust between SKVT and the community it serves.

As Sahuliyat Kashmir continues to grow, the vision remains clear: to empower individuals, support families, and foster a sense of hope and resilience within the community.
